Bangkok 

Made it to Bangkok earlier this week for a couple of days of business meetings. However today is Saturday and I am officially on holiday for the whole week due to the Chinese New Year festivities back in Shanghai.

Might as well stay in Thailand I thought, so I am off to Phuket later this morning. Nice to be in the sun or at least the warmth (since it is extremely foggy this morning and it has nothing to do with the couple of Gin and Tonics I had last night).

Well it just took me a week and I am back on an airplane. Not going too far this time, only round the corner so to speak. Flew in with Eva Air which is not bad at all.

I am here in Taipei for 3 days.

The weather here down south is quite pleasant at around 20 degrees this afternoon. Will go out shortly to make the most of this buzzing city.

I am back in Shanghai after a long flight with KLM (not my favorite airline).

I have a stinking cold and no luggage. I guess I am going to put my feet up for a while and try to warm up. Not a good start.

So this is it, we are in 2009. HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone. Today is my last day back home in Germany and it is snowing…

Tomorrow morning it is back to the aiport and take off to Shanghai via Amsterdam.

I am spending the last few hours doing the odd needed jobs at home and planning my 2009 calendar.

Maybe having a BBQ on New Year’s Eve as well as one on New Year’s day was not such a good idea after all as I feel a nasty cold coming. Maybe a Gin and Tonic in a little while will cure that!!!
