In Tokyo watching “Jangmi” closing in…

Made it to Tokyo yesterday and will be there till Wednesday before I play the tourist for a few days in Kyoto. Apparently there is a nasty weather pattern on its way here… Could be fun.

Did not have much time for myself (am here for work after all) but took a little tour nevertheless…

The Tokyo tower staring at me from the hotel room is slightly higher than the Eiffel tower but is certainly not as impressive…

The train ride to Kyoto in the bullet train was smooth and very fast. The public transport infrastructure is really very impressive.

No photos…

Bad news, my camera is broken. What shall I do not being able to take the usual load of pics…

Finally made it…

Finally made it and went for my first round of golf this morning. Eight of us sweated it out on the 9 holes. The lessons paid off but much more practice is needed.

Tomorrow I plan to buy the complete set of clubs and bag etc etc.

A few days back in Germany

Flew back in yesterday. Another long night with China Eastern but comfortable enough and I slept a lot. Autumn has arrived in Northern Europe. It is quite cool. Nice to see blue sky for a change.

Went into town late morning for the obligatory coffee sitting outside and bumped into a few friends. Nothing changes.

My garden has not changed much. The grapes are growing well.

Back in Shanghai

Met up with most of my friends this afternoon / evening, Managed to watch the Belgian Grand Prix and now watching the Cubs trashing Cincinnati at baseball.

Where next…

Had breakfast this morning in Penang.

Flew down to Kuala Lumpur for lunch.

Flew up to Bangkok for dinner.

Just about to have a night cap at the airport in Bangkok on my way to Shanghai for breakfast and home.
