Nov 23rd

Landed back in Copenhagen early this morning. I have a couple of hours to wait before the final flight. Am sitting in one of my favorite lounge. I guess this is the main advantage of being a Gold Member.

Nov 17th to 22nd

Plenty of work, little time to play. Thank you Christian for the detailed info regarding the name of this tree. I must say they look quite impressive.

The lunch hour is always fun and varied (as long as you are not too fussy about the hygiene)

Nov 16th

Landed back in Kuala Lumpur earlier this evening after a rather bumpy ride with Malaysian Airlines. Feels good to be back in the civilized world. Looking forward to a drink at the hotel later this evening.

Nov 14th & 15th

Still in Alor Star and basically it is work work work.

Nov 13th

Made it to Alor Star early this morning and will be there for the rest of the week. Cannot say I am impressed but duty calls I guess. There is absolutely nothing to do in the evenings. I might be lucky to get 1 english channel on the TV, usually sport. And as far as internet is concerned, it is like a black hole. You might wonder how I manage to update this blog then… well somebody not too far from the hotel (Star City by the way and never trust a brochure) has an unsecured WIFI and I always have my PDA on me.

The only good thing about the place is the fact that Langkawi is not far away but unfortunately I have not yet managed once to find the time to go there.

Maybe next time I should take a couple of days off and relax for a bit. One can always dream I guess.

Nov 12th

Slept like a baby. I guess I needed it. Will go for a couple of beers tonight, just what is needed after a hard day at work. I hear there is a new band (short video to follow soon) playing at Uncle Chili’s.

I have an early start again tomorrow as I must be at the airport by 7am.

Nov 11th

Made it to Kuala Lumpur via Copenhagen and Bangkok. My suitcase however did not find its way out of Copenhagen though.

Stopped in Bangkok in the middle of the night and went to the Novotel Airport Hotel. I would not mind spending a few days there.

Might have to go and replenish a couple of shirts later on.

I guess I can add Japan to my list of countries visited.

So that is the 3rd new one this year after United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.

So the full picture now looks like this:

Too many white spots still, but then again who wants to go to Russia?

Australia is however in the planning so is India.

A 2 weeks trip to China and Japan…

Saturday November 3rd

Landed back in Hannover. All in all, door to door it is a 30 hours trip and mostly in planes. Glad to be on firm ground again.

Friday November 2nd

Going home today. Not looking forard to the long trip via Bangkok. Had a couple of hours to myself to explore a little corner of the city.

Thursday November 1st

All day meeting which actually went very well. I am quite impressed with Japan I must say.

Wednesday October 31st - 7pm

Arrived in Tokyo a short while ago. My first visit to Japan.

Tuesday October 3oth

Last evening in Shanghai. Met up with Melissa & partner (as promised Bob2). Had a very good evening too.

Saturday October 27th & Sunday October 28th

Flew to Hefei for the weekend to attend an official event. Quite interesting. Always fun to be a VIP. They sure looked after us. Best hotel, loads to eat. All very official though.

Monday October 22nd to Friday 26th

Fighting jet lag like mad. Long hours in the office usually ending up with an early night after a night cap in the Sky Dome or Barbarossa.

Sunday October 21st - 6pm (local time)

Made it to my hotel in Shanghai. Another wasted weekend travelling and feeling pretty rough at the end of it.

Sunday October 21st - 8am

Landed in Bangkok a couple of hours ago after a good flight. Not enough sleep though.

Saturday October 20th

Off to Asia this morning. Have not gone very far yet as I am stuck at the airport due to a computer breakdown since early this morning. Hopefully I shall make it in time to catch my connections.
