No news is good news I guess. Too busy at work right now for anything else.Tomorrow is the opening of the Maschseefest in Hannover, if the weather permits (unlikely) I shall pay a visit in the evening.

Another week in the East

Saturday July 14th
9pm. I cannot think of anything better to combat jetlag than dozing off in the shade on a comfortable hammock in my garden.
6am. Just landed back in Frankfurt (God I hate that airport) and now waiting for my next flight back home to Hannover.
Monday July 9th till Friday July 13th
I have been in Taipei all week, Basically work work work with food food food before, between and after. No time to visit anything really, only drive past some of the well known monuments.
and the odd excursion in one of the so-called “night market” in search of food of coure…
Sunday July 8th
5pm Next stop Hong Kong. Always a spectacular approach and even more with a sunset in the background.
1pm Landed in Bangkok at around 1pm local time after a super night on board. Weather here is hot as usual around 31 degrees.
Saturday July 7th
7pm - Got a nice surprise in Frankfurt with an upgrade to 1st class on the Thai airways 747. Impeccable service, good seat / bed.
4pm - Left a cold, wet, raining Hannover for Frankfurt on my way to the East. Did not realize that they use Porsches at Hannover airport to direct the planes. Obviously money is no problem…

America’s cup

It has been a long 4 years, but Alinghi did win today the 32nd America’s Cup.
Well done. And that means the Cup remains in Europe. In 4 years time I shall be there for sure. Anyone wanting to join me?

By the way, here is a very good video of last year’s first 2 laps and here of the final lap.
I guess I better start on the 2007 edition.
In the meantime some of the photos can be seen here. Acki is preparing a CD as well, so please send your photos.
Missed this year’s start, well look here and here, in fact I have collected quite a few great videos so far.

I have not had much opportunity to play this year. Never seem to be around anymore but thanks to Klaus, we are trying to create a club going using one of the tennis courts in town. Yesterday way the first “test”day and all went well.
