Sailing in the Baltic sea

Just back from a few days sailing in the Baltic. The plan was to go from Lübeck to Copenhagen. The boat (a Bavaria)belongs to Joerg & Heidrun.
Sailing in the Baltic requires a fair amount of planning…
It is nice when the weather is fine…
Unfortunately we encountered a couple of technical problems when we reached Denmark so we spent the day there during which we had to winch Joerg up the mast 3 times to check and see what could be fixed (I still have sore muscles)…
Lovely view from up there apparently…
also took the opportunity to visit the island and the country side…
There is nothing like watching the sunset sitting on a boat…
But in the end we had to return to Germany to get some professional help.
Made it nevertheless to Copenhagen by train. I am glad to see that the little mermaid is still there…
The old Copenhagen is still a very nice place to sit around for a drink and watch the world go by

Back from Le Mans

Another great weekend and race. Some old friends and a couple of rookies…
My photos have now been uploaded. Acki is also collecting all the photos to prepare a CD.
In the meantime is one of this year’s crew…

email problems !!!

It would appear that none of the emails I have sent in the past few days have actually “not been delivered” although my Outlook says they have gone….
I need to check the settings of my mailbox and try to find find out where the problem might be. I have a feeling it has to do with the secure server settings I had to turn off during my trip in Malaysia.
If I do find out, I shall resend some of the emails, so do not be surprised if a few things are a bit out of date.

4 days to go…. Le Mans 24h

Last preparations are on the way.
I have been in touch with the owner of the Gite and we are expected.
Bob1 & Bob2 will arrive on Wednesday and will devote their time waiting for us playing golf and ensure that enough Pastis is available.
The German contingent (Acki, Andreas, Joerg, Toto and myself) + Graham & Nick whom we shall meet upon arrival at Orly airport will arrive on Thursday evening late with the 2 hire cars.
Christian will arrive on Friday evening in time for dinner (Hopefully a BBQ at the gite).
