On the move again
27.5.2007 von Jean Jacques.

Saturday June 9th
7am. Just landed back in Frankfurt after a trouble free (slept a lot actually) flight from Kuala Lumpur via Bangkok.
Currently in one of Lufthansa’s business lounge using one of their PC so I cannot upload any pics. Not to worry, I have the weekend in front of me to update things.
Monday 4th till Friday 8th
Work work work, the occasional restaurant in the evening, then usually back to Uncle Chili’s at the hotel for a last drink or two.
Sunday June 3rd
Spent the day sailing with Stephen. Had a great time. We went to Port Dickson which is about 1 hour away south of Kuala Lumpur. We only capsized 4 times.

Saturday June 2nd
I would like to know why I cannot sleep. It cannot be jetlag after 1 week. Woke up early, having breakfast right now and catching up on my emails. I wonder what I shall do for the rest of the day. Take it easy for sure…
To start with , a couple of hours at the pool seems like a good idea.
Spent the afternoon shopping in KLCC (the shopping mall under the Twin Towers). Got stuck outside afterwards when the daily monsoon struck. Had to stay in the bar under cover for a while.

Friday June 1st
pm
Landed back in Kuala Lumpur. Looking forward to a couple of beers.

am
Hurray, June is upon us. My last day in Alor Star today. I shall be landing back in Kuala Lumpur late this evening. Looking forward to a (or a few) beers when I get to my hotel.
Thursday May 31st
Hot hot hot. Have been taking quite a few photos these past few days. No way of uploading them from here. Will do that at the weekend when I am back in civilization.
Wednesday May 30th
Another busy day and very hot as well. Came back to the hotel to find out that the lift had broken down. There is no way I was going to walk up and down the 17 floors. So I waited outside in the street cafe for a while, then found yet another Chinese restaurant and made a pig of myself.

Back in my room later in the evening to find out that the TV was not working… Really am not too impressed with the hotel.
Tuesday May 29th
Very early start to get to the airport to catch the 1st flight to Alor Star.

Made it without a problem and am now stuck here till Friday night. Not my favorite place, although I have seen a few changes since last time. The local 7/11is now selling beer….. Still no internet available at the hotel although things are in preparation to install high speed connectionsin the rooms to start operating on June 1st… Maybe next time then.
Monday May 28th
Made it to Kuala Lumpur yesterday afternoon. A full day at the office today and now back at my hotel. Time to relax a bit. Going out to dinner with friends (probably Vietnamese restaurant). Got to get up early tomorrow, another plane to catch…
Sunday May 27th
(7.30 am local time)
Landed in Bangkok a short while ago. Flight was ok, nothing special. Could have done with a bit more sleep.

Saturday May 26th
Just flew in to Frankfurt from Hannover. Next flight at 3pm in an easterly direction. Flying with Thai airways for the first time. Hope it is fine.

New car
26.5.2007 von Jean Jacques.
Am thinking of getting this little beast as my next car…

A good performance by Peugeot in Le Mans would help swing my mind….

Le Mans 24H
15.5.2007 von Jean Jacques.

At the time of writing, there are 31 days 17 hours and 58 minutes to go…
And here for the latest news:
1000km of Valencia, a second win for the 908 HDi FAP
lundi 07 mai 2007 - 10h57
Following its win at Monza three weeks ago, the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP showed the same winning form today in Valencia where it was this time the turn of Pedro Lamy/Stéphane Sarrazin to finish in first place after leading practically from flag to flag without the slightest problem.

Apart from that I shall book the rental car / van / people carrier this week.

New TV
14.5.2007 von Jean Jacques.
Have I mentionned that I bought myself a new TV?

It looks small on that pic, but with a 50″ screen, I can assure you the room is about just big enough for it. Have not had a chance to really “play” with it yet.

Asia yet again
13.5.2007 von Jean Jacques.
Saturday May 12th
Made it back home. Quite a long journey which took me back via Dubai again. It is the first time I used Emirates airline for such a trip and I am suitably impressed with the service even if my plane did not have the latest seats technology. Their entertainement system however is one of the best I have come across with an enormous amount of films. The food is also very good and a mixture of oriental, arabic and european cuisine.

Monday till Friday
Basically work, work work but I had the opportunity to visit Shanghai a bit. Quite an amazing city. Full of people as one would imagine in China. A mixture of new elegant buildings, lots of colors and very old streets and areas.

It is also a city of lights

Traditional methods are used for all sorts of things as well, for instance this scaffolding made only with bamboos.

Apart from work, the favorite occupation is food…

and more food…

Sunday May 6th
1am
Had a few hours to explore Dubai. A shopping paradise I guess, all duty free. Gold seems to be the best deal…

Saturday May 5th
Having a couple of hours in the lounge in Frankfurt, gives me the opportunity to catch up with my emails and web bits.

Always good to see the old JU52 went I fly off from Hannover.

I shall be gone for the week.
