Not too happy with the internet

For some unknown reason for the past 3 weeks my DSL connection is more off than on. I simply cannot work it out. Apparently the line itself is OK, I cannot find anything wrong with either my WIFI router nor the DSL modem itself. A complete reset of both usually works but not always. I would welcome any tips.

A couple of Web bits

First, I am back on line.

Second. You have to try this site. Thank you Marcia for the tip. Christian and I were chatting via Skype a short while ago and sharing the music… Excellent stuff.

Thrid. Another great link if you look for free WIFI hotspots is this one. Good to see that France and Paris rate so well.

No news…

I have no news because my internet connection is not working at home… One feels like half a person without access to the World Wide Web. Hope I can sort that one out very quickly.

Le Mans 24H - News

We have an additional participant from Germany. Andreas has now booked the same flights as the rest of us. This means there are now 5 of us coming from this part of the world, Acki for the second time, Joerg for the third time, Thomas and Andreas (first time I think) and myself. About time we had a Le Mans beer one of these coming evenings I think…

Merci Cecile

Back home. The weekend was great. It was good to see everyone again. It was not that cold was it? Good that we had Patrick with us, gave us the best excuse for the beers on Saturday evening. Let us not forget that France did win the Rugby tournament (6 nations) with a final win over Scotland on Saturday. And what a win that was 46-19. Roll on the world cup.

The tour round Paris was a superb idea. Thanks again Cécile. I have just posted the very few photos I took. I have also been looking at a few sites on the theme of the Expositions Universelles, Biblioteque Nationale is quite a good one. And by the way, there is a governing body BIE based in Paris. The next Universal Exposition will be in China in 2010.

I have made a note that the next meeting will be in the Alps sometime in September. I shall start looking into flights (probably via Geneva).

A bit of fun…
